The world and European champion cleared 2.00m with her second attempt on a chilly night to officially claim the Diamond Race Trophy on the same track where she lost a chance at a share of the Golden League Jackpot two years ago.

The victory in Brussels was her ninth in 11 starts this season. Italy’s Antonietta Di Martino beat European silver medallist Emma Green of Sweden on count back at 1.98m.

Vlasic will now turn out in the colours of Team Europe at next weekend’s IAAF Continental Cup in Split, Croatia, her hometown.
