Dafne Schippers Ends Season Before Brussels Diamond League Meeting

Dafne Schippers, the two-time IAAF World Outdoor Championships gold medalist in the 200 meters, has ended her season according to a post on her Facebook page.

Schippers had been scheduled to compete at the Memorial Van Damme Diamond League meet in Brussels, Belgium.

This was a big year for Schippers, who changed coaches after disappointment at the Olympics last year in Rio. The change paid off as she captured bronze in the 100 meters and gold in the 200 at the World Championships in London earlier this month.
